Naughty Dragons

What would it be like to play host family to two very badly behaved baby dragons?
Ava and Jack Ward family have moved to the Laidley Hundreds with their parents to become part of the Dragons at Home Project. Humans take baby dragons into their homes to socialise them, and show them human ways and manners. If they’re not brought up properly alongside humans, there is a real danger that they might grow up and turn into Wild Dragons.
Unfortunately Graun and Fafnine, the Wards’ dragons, are the worst behaved dragons in the entire Dragons at Home Project. Blue and gold Graun is full on, noisy and bumptious, like a scaly tank, or little boy with no off button. Fafnine is green and bronze, and as quick and mischievous as quicksilver. Put the two of them together and dragon mayhem is sure to follow, whether at home, at school, or at play.
Fast-paced, exciting and funny, the Naughty Dragons series is perfect for middle primary aged children, and newly independent readers. Published by Hardie Grant, the books are fully illustrated with Simon Howe’s gorgeous black and white line illustrations.
Book 1 Naughty Dragons Make Trouble!
When their family is chosen to foster two young dragons, Ava and Jack can’t believe their luck. The dragons, Graun and Fafnine, turn out to have a special talent for trouble, and Ava and Jack are soon swept into a whirlwind of daring escapes, midnight motorbike rides and flaming vomit. But when a dangerous wild dragon arrives, will everything be ruined?

Book 2 Naughty Dragons Try School!
The naughty dragons are getting ready for a whole new—school! Ava and Jack can’t wait to start flying to classes and Graun and Fafnine are excited to start dragon lessons. But with new rules to learn, new powers to discover and a set of mean dragon triplets determined to get them into trouble, will the naughty dragons ever manage to stay out of mischief?

Book 3 Naughty Dragons Fire Up!
It’s Dragon New Year, and there’s so much to look forward to: a picnic, a party, a bonfire and—best of all—a monster firework display. But with three snobbish dragons intent on stardom, and Graun and Fafnine on the loose, the celebrations soon turn into a disaster of epic proportions. Have the naughty dragons finally gone too far?
Book 4 Naughty Dragons Camp Out!
Once a year, the Dragons at Home Project holds a special camp for its newly joined dragons and their families. This year, it’s Graun and Fafnine’s turn to take Ava and Jack to a distant volcano, where they will sleep in caves, and study the ancient dragon arts of starfaring and treasure-hunting. No one expects the arrival of ruthless egg poachers, who will stop at nothing to trap dragons for their wicked trade.
